Cookie Policy

1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognise your device and to remember certain information about your visit.
This policy also covers equivalent storage techniques, in particular the local storage of your browser (localStorage), which we use for display preferences.
2. Cookies used
2.1 Essential cookies (always active)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to work. They are exempt from consent and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| getpaird-session | Keeps you signed in and holds your session (including your display language). | 3 days |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protection against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). | 3 days |
| cookie_consent | Stores your cookie choice so the banner is not shown again. | 1 year |
2.2 Local storage (no cookie)
Some display preferences are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. They never leave your device, are not sent to our servers, and are cleared when you clear your browsing data.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| theme | Display mode (light / dark). |
| Interface preferences | Minor display choices, such as the collapsed state of an admin sidebar or the selected view of the deck builder. |
2.3 Payment cookies (during a payment only)
Card payments are handled by Stripe on its own pages. Stripe places cookies necessary for the security of the transaction and the prevention of fraud.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | Third party |
|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_* | Secure payment and fraud prevention. | Variable | Stripe, Inc. |
2.4 Analytics cookies (only after your consent)
These cookies are placed only if you accept them in the banner. If you refuse, or as long as you have not answered, the Google Analytics script is simply not loaded.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | Third party |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 audience measurement. | Up to 2 years | Google LLC |
IP anonymisation is enabled. These cookies are used solely to understand how the Platform is used. No data is shared for advertising purposes.
3. Managing your preferences
A cookie banner is shown on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer: your choice is erased and the banner is shown again.
You can also manage cookies directly from your browser settings. Please note: blocking essential cookies will prevent the Platform from working properly.
4. Third-party cookies
The Platform uses no advertising cookies. Only Stripe (payment) and Google Analytics 4 (analytics, after consent) place third-party cookies. No social network, retargeting or advertising tracking cookie is used.
5. Email services
Our emails are sent through Brevo (France). This service places no cookie on the Platform; it is mentioned here for transparency.
Marketing emails sent by an Organizer contain an invisible image (a "tracking pixel") and links that pass through our servers, so that the Organizer can measure opens and clicks for their campaign. Transactional emails (registration confirmation, pairings, receipts) contain no such tracking. You can prevent the pixel from loading by blocking remote images in your email client, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each message.
6. Contact
For any question about cookies, you can contact us at [email protected].
